As the unofficial activity coordinator in our family, I’m always looking for easy, seasonal things to do with the kids. One of our favorite spring traditions is heading out to pick fresh strawberries. It’s always a hit—especially when the kids spot the biggest, juiciest berry and act like they’ve won a prize.
Inevitably, we come home with way more strawberries than we planned for. So, I make jam. Lots of it.
That’s where this cocktail comes in. It’s a simple, refreshing way to use that homemade jam (or store-bought—no judgment here). If you like seasonal cocktails that aren’t fussy, this Strawberry Jam & Gin is one to try. It’s light, a little sweet, and just right for spring and summer afternoons.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Dry Gin
.5 oz Lemon Juice, fresh
.25 oz Simple Syrup
1 Generous Scoop of Strawberry Jam
Ice
Fresh Rosemary Sprig

- In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and strawberry jam.
- Add a handful of ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.
