Every fall, I bake my fair share of seasonal muffins — pumpkin, apple, maple — you name it. But these Pumpkin Cranberry Muffins with Pecan Streusel are the ones I always come back to. They’re packed with classic fall flavors: pumpkin, tart cranberries, and crunchy pecans, all wrapped up in a soft, spiced muffin.
This recipe is especially meaningful to me because it reminds me of my mom’s pumpkin cranberry bread. That smell of warm pumpkin and spices filling the house instantly takes me back. These muffins come pretty close to recreating that memory.
There’s something really nice about a cool, crisp morning, sitting outside with a warm muffin and a cup of coffee. Simple, but kind of perfect.
If you’re baking this season, I definitely recommend giving these a try — they’re easy to make, full of flavor, and worth every minute in the oven.

- ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

Make the Streusel
- Melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and pecans.
- Add the melted butter and use a fork to mix until small crumbs form. Set aside.
Make the Muffins
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk brown sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and gently fold with a spatula until just combined — do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the cranberries, being careful not to crush them.
- Divide the batter evenly among the liners — they should be almost or completely full.
- Sprinkle the streusel evenly over each muffin.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes
- Gluten-Free Option: Substitute a 1:1 gluten-free all-purpose flour blend.
- Flavor Tip: Using coconut oil adds a mild coconut flavor to the muffins.
